Seiko/ Grand Seiko
Seiko was established in 1881 as a watch and clock repair shop in Ginza, Tokyo. Seiko has grown and diversified over the years, but remains best known for being a brand world-leading in innovation with an expertise in fusing intricate watchmaking skill with elegant design. Seiko timepieces deliver precisely beautiful Japanese aesthetics, brought to life through total in-house manufacture.
Seiko’s commitment to ongoing development and cutting edge technology led to the flagship product line of Grand Seiko. Since the 1960’s Grand Seiko has always been distinct in its design, character, presentation and precision technology. In 2017 the Grand Seiko became its own separate brand. In recognition of this change, in all models from this date onwards, the Grand Seiko logo has been placed at the twelve o'clock position, rather than at six. This change symbolises Grand Seiko’s aim to set its own, fully independent course and to seek to scale new heights in watchmaking excellence in the years to come.
